Eric - any suggestions on stripes?

I built a striping kit like the one I saw on the Dixie Chopper on someone's post. It is made from heavy chain attached to the back of my Hustler w/b. Also made one for my 60" Z but they still do not stripe any better than before. Do you or anyone else here have any suggestions? I hate to drive by one of my properties then someone elses and see the difference of how much better theirs look over mine. Should I maybe have a fabricator make me rollers? How much influence does the grass type play in striping? I just want to look at one of mine and say (THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT)!!!!

One thing that helps stripes is the correct deck pitch. You need the front of the deck 1/4" lower than the back of the deck. I do know that the grass in your area will stripe. Bill (Fine Line Lawns) is from there and he has some nice looking stripes, so you should be able to stripe yours also. Keep trying. ;)
