Does anyone know of a good method for controlling the white pine weevils
that get into my norway spruce trees?

Do a soil test and check for the micronutrients, zinc, boron, and copper. While you are at it also check for calcium, magnesium and sulfur. get these nutrients in balance and the weevils will leave.
