Hello, new to this but hoping to get some info. on this technical problem ?
I have a 15kw Generac Guardian generator in my shop. Its 30hp twin cylinder engine (Briggs),runs okay but one of the cylinders is running hotter than the other. The exhaust manifold glows red on that side.I have checked the mixture, the timing, the valves ect.Cant figure it out.
Any suggestions?

You might want to check to see if the exhaust pipe has a blockage in it. One side could be blocked off to a point and cause it. Good luck.

Make sure the fan shroud is clear of all debris. Might even want to remove the entire engine shroud to be sure there is nothing that could have nested in there. Air flow problems can cause a hot running engine. Is this new or used? Can you only see the red at night or during the day as well? More information please.
