Water, cellulose, grass seed, fertilizer, and possibly a tackifier are mixed in a tank to form a slurry. This is sprayed onto the soil. Can be applied with a hose or from a gun mounted on the hydroseeder. Provides pretty good erosion control when tackifier is added. Fast seeding method. No straw mulch blowing around. The cellulose is usually recycled newspaper product.

we use 100% wood fiber mulch, it wont crust over if it gets dryed out. when done properly it can compete with a sod yard if the customer can wait a month but its only about a third the cost
