I just bought a slightly used myer plow with an E-60 pump. Can I use standard hydraulic fluid, or do I have to buy something special from Myer?

As long as it has a deicer in it, you should be okay.

No you can't use standard hydro fluid in an E-60 pump.

You need to use blue "air craft" quality hydro fluid.

You can get it from meyer or aftermarket cos

Sorry to lead you astray on that one if I did "rkg27". Geoff knows much more about that one than I do. I have an E47 pump, and the last Meyer fluid I bought this past winter is now yellow, not blue. The parts guy said they were changing. New formula I guess. Said you can't buy the blue Meyer fluid anymore. And yes, he said that they can be mixed with no problem.
