In the past I hauled pipe on one of my trucks. Then I fabricated a pipe rack for the trailer. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

how you liking that?Yes it is, if you don't own one get one. You would not believe how great it works. If mine gave out today I would pay $10000.00 for a new one. I paid $3000.00 a few years back for it. It will put about 95% of the dirt back in the trench for you on existing yards. I actually have two of the coverups, same friend who sold me his 1620 gave me his coverup. I helped him a lot when he was in the irrigation business.

We mostly install residential systems for homeowners, no builders(been there done that). We mostly pipe-in 1" and 3/4" pipe these days. 80% of our business is service now. I pick which install jobs I would like to do, the easy ones.

I can put 2000' ft of 1" and 1000' 3/4" on the trailer.

I talked to him the other day. He said he loves it. They do a bunch of out of town work so it's good to be able to load it all up.

I purposly made it to to collapse if the racks hit something without tearing up anyting. They've already snaged one tree and it did it's job.

It was a little over kill in terms of the steel used but it ain't going to wear out that's for sure.

I made real good money off that job.
