I have started cleanups(in CT) and have a truck full of thatch. The local brush drop off wont take it, neither will the Greencycle company. Where the hell do you guys get rid of it?

its possible they are only set-up for mulch production and not compost also.

Well hopefully you charged enough to cover the cost of disposal. I always have a disposal charge in my clean-ups, then when I am done I go to the dump, pay my $52/ton and be on my way. If people don't want to pay for the disposal fee, I offer to put it in paper leaf bags and let them throw it out in their trash for $2/bag.

I leave it with the homeowner for trash pick-up.Most of the cities we work in we can use plastic bags.Other places it goes in brown bags for trash collection or to the dump.

We drop it off at environmental landfill but most of our homes have pickup so most we leave in paper bags for the customer

My local brush/leaf dump won't take grass clippings, and the garbage transfer station won't take "yard waste". At the leaf dump, they compost leaves, but the grass clippings degrade at a different rate and also release really stinky gas. There are other reasons too, but those are the basic ones.

This is one of the multiple reasons we don't collect grass.
