I'm looking for some advice on what to put down for a two-treatment fertilizing job (spring and fall) for 2 acre lots that are high in clay. And what to realisitcally charge.

Why would you be fertilizing the 2 acers? What are you wanting to accomplish? Are you trying to control weeds? Grass burs, fungus? Need more information. I charged a customer of mine $330.00 for 2 acers and I used Lesco 0-0-7 pre-m for grass burs.

They're looking for a shot of something to strengthen the lawn for the summer and then a fall application to keep it strong throughout the harsh winter months. More of a slow release for spring and not necessarily a high nitrogen blast to only green it up but to help it once things dry out a bit mid-summer.

I'm not sure you will get those kind of results with just applications. Most Fertilizer programs consist of 6 applications per year
Maybe you could package all six applications lets say $650.00 /10 mo @ $65.00 per mo. Make it cheaper to do all six than it would be to do just 2. Then at then end of the year they a have a nice yard you like a hero. Just a Suggestion
Set your own price the 650.00 is just a guide.

I don't think 2 fert applications is good option, but if you need a answer.
I would go with a spring fertilizer with a high nitrogen content and for the fall I would do potash.
