I am wanting to build a dump trailer from a mobile home running gear three axle. Does anyone have experiance at this or recomendations? The running gear is double over the axles. Looks fairly strong and long enough for a box.

we had this discussion recently, and the answer is dont do it. mobile home running gear is designed to get the mobile home to one spot, then sit there until the end of time. it isnt very sturdy at all. a few guys said it isnt even legal in thier states. look at Redneck Trailer Supply or somewhere for some proper Dexter axles and suspension. it isnt very expensive, and it will be right for what you need. dump trailers, even empty, can get heavy in hurry.

Have you ever thought of just converting a dump truck? you could hack off the cab, engine, and forward frame, sell them and the just use the dump bed and the rearend. You could just hook it up to a battery powered motor and run the lights into a trailer plug. Might not be the easiest, best, or smartest idea, but it's all I got for you!:clapping:
