I found this photo of the next Super Duty. They ruined its style in my opinion. I like the old one's styling much more.

Hope it looks better in person.

With a new twin-turbo diesel right?

Really not that much different than the '05's and '06's. IMO, it's looks like just a little change in the headlights and a slight change on the grill. Plus in '07 I believe the hood will open like the Dodge, so that probably played a part in those two changes.

The word is they have pushed that forward a couple more years.

Here's the inside. To me, the big "Superduty" lettering is gaudy and will be a dirt and dust magnet. But at least everything else looks functional.

I'm far from a ford expert, but it don't look all that different from the way it looks now.

I think the front looks like the family truckster from National Lampoons Vacation

I see a big red button on the lower dashboard. that's gotta do something cool. I want one for my 05!

honestly I don't care for that grill, headlights or the fact that they moved the foglights out to the corners. Those mirrors look like the new chevy ones too. I think I'll keep my 05

Its freaking ugly what is with the manufactures building these ugly looking front ends on P/U trucks.

Chevy looks like a frowning face. Dodge has some hideous looking head lights.

I like the way the trucks was. Like the pre 01 chevys with the regular hood. The 94-05 rams was fine till those headlights now this? What next???? Possibly a geo hood.

I think with any new design, it takes time to like it, if possible. I hated the way the '06 Rams looked when I first saw them, now I think they look really good and the '05 and previous models look "old". Give it time guys, and you'll come around to ike the look of the '07 Superduty. :)

i think my 99 f250 is the sharpest looking truck on the road, before that i thought my old 90 chevy 1500 sport was the best thing on 4 wheels . i will probably keep my truck till i see something that catches my eye. and it looks like this not my year to trade

this big red button is for an emergency engine (system)shutoff. it is on all test vehicles. TRUST me...you DONT want one of those. ...

I think this truck will grow on me just like the 99s did. I thought the 99s were ugly when first released but now I like them a lot (actually like the 05-06s more, just wish they still had the 7.3). Besides its what is underneath the skin is what counts, and would still consider this even if it turns out to be ugly in my opinion. And will still consider Dodges and GMs. By the way Dodge is coming out with a 4500/5500 chassis cab for 07 which gives us even more options!

Best looking trucks that Ford Chevrolet and Dodge had out, were in my opinion the mid 60's through the 70's body style.

I'm digging the "old iron" look these days.

I am also hoping to restore one of these trucks in the near future.

personally ... in my own opinion ... half of these automotive engineers on the design team need to go back to art school ...... some designs look good on paper but the final product might look like total crap ...

they are not engineers....just designers. the engineers try to make people like you happy.

but ripple is an example why they can't make you happy.

Doesn't anybody like the 92-97 body style? 1997 4x4 F-350 crew cabs were hands down the best looking trucks. Yeah, the 07 is out there but so was the 99 superduty when it first came out. Is it just me or do the front ends of these trucks get lower and lower to the ground each year? It would be nice to see a "High-Boy" option.

I like the pre 97s also. Last of the old school trucks.

I agree also about the trucks getting lower and lower. I remember when the 05s first came out I checked them out at the Ford dealer. There were 2 F350 4x4s parked next to each other. One was an 04 and one was an 05. The 05 had to be an inch or two lower. They shouldnt cater to the mall crowd types. They should cater to us. Ground clearance actually does come in handy sometimes.

The word is they have pushed that forward a couple more years.

The twin turbo diesel from my understanding has been pushed back for a while, haven't heard how long all I've been told is that they are having trouble with the driveshaft yokes breaking from the torque.

If that is the case, I would think that they would just beef up the yokes and driveshafts if needed. But what do I know I just put them together how they tell me to.

BSDeality

ground clearance is determined by tire size. departure angles are determined by axle placement and height of the body off the ground... my '05 is pretty tall, but is not as tall as an 04 because they switched to coil springs in the front.

Steveb

they switched to coil springs in the front.

We where told that was done because customers where complaining about the rough ride and the coil spring would give the customer the smoother ride.

Man that truck is ugly. Why can't they just leave good things go, and bad things to never come out. I think the best looking years were 1992-2004.

Yeah, that is going to be a dud. The front light look terrible. Personally the mid 90's were the best! Gotta love the square!

I just read that the "Super Duty" lettering is also going to be on top of the grill and on the tailgate. They are trying to improve the truck's brand name.

I actually think it looks okay but I like the current one's better. Sure, it will take some getting used to but so do all new body styles.

I agree ... I love my '05 F-350. On top of what you didn't like ... I don't like the changes to the mirrors, nor the different color on the fenders (of which I imagine you can order the same color of the truck).
