I'm a newbie...but I have a handul of accounts. I have a potential client for an annual acount that wants a copy of my insurance account. Is this normal? 2 other customers wanted to see it but this one wants a copy of it. Should I not provide and say see ya.... or provide it and do it? I am concerned about a blind sided unjustified claim.
Any recommendations are appreciated

We always provide a copy of insurance card whenever we have been asked.
Not a problem.

Contact your insurance company and ask for a copy of a certificate of general liability. In New Jersey we are now going to be required to provide every customer that we put "under contract" a certificate of gen. liab.
btw, this is a normal practice. Most commercial properties a will require this too. As Jodi said "No problem".

We are now told that if a client wants a copy of our insurance certificate, for us to tell them to contact our agent and request it - so the client is getting it straight from them. I was told this way, the insurance company knows who all it is being presented to. It makes sense.

I just give them the number and have my clients contact my insurance agent.
