Put this together, looking for new marketing ideas. Good, bad, or what?

Kirby, i love the idea, great new way to advertise i think that would really hitch alot more people than normal methods. How exactly are you considering this? Making videos and sending free videos? If so how costly might that be?

It looks professional to me. I like it. I watched the video using a T1 line. How does it look at 28 or 56K ?

Great idea Ray, as usual. Should be a good marketing tool for you. Expect lots of new business from that.

Rich, I have attached it to the front page of my home site. I can also email it to potential customers who are interested. I plan on looking into making a CD version and giving to customers during bids. Blanks CD's are $12 per 50 so it would'nt be too much.

captivating....I give it 2 thumbs up....way up. It looks like another tool to use on the website to attract new clientele.
I feel like I'm watching an episode of NYPD Blue with the camera always moving...kinda dizzying. It's hard to really get a good look at the photos since they don't hold still and are constantly fading in or out. And since the strength is in the photos, maybe you should slow down the effects.
...Just my two cents.

I think it hypnotized me last time I looked at it! It runs for a minute, the more photos I use the shorter time they are viewed. I hoped to get as many good photos in as possible, however I may play around a little and reduce the number of photos and see what happens.
Thanks!

Good work, distributing it on cds is a good idea.
As mentioned before you may want to slow it down a little.
Looks like a good marketing idea.

Too much motion and the music is a bit dramatic. Awesome concept, though.

Good idea Ray. I would also have all of these pictures on your website and a link to it on this CD in case they want to look at all of your lawns while they are in a stopped position. :)

It's way too funky with too much fast motion and the pics are too small.
You can make a lot better formal slide show presentation using Kai's power show.
With Kai's power show you can make the CD self extract right
into the victims (er customers) computer. They don't have to
have a powerpoint reader like with the MS application.
All the customer has to do is put the CD in the drive and the auto play feature will make it play on any win 9x os.

Good idea, but it is a bit dramatic with that music. Maybe some music a bit less intense like some sort of light, classical music would be a better idea, IMO. Great idea, though.
"That's what I like to see here on LawnSite!" Excellent job Kirby! Any insight as to how long it took to put that together, or what it takes to build???????? Again, nice work.
John
Slow it down, change the music, and stop the spinning. Other than that it works!

John, it took about 5 minutes. Photopoint.com has a program the does most of the work for you, very easy.
I like the dramatic music. ;) Thanks Stone, I'll check it out.

Not too bad, it's definitely a different approach. The only beef that I have with it is that the pictures are a little small in the first half or so of it and the effects sort of take over. Maybe I was wrong about the classical, I don't know, it just doesn't seem to fit. Just experiment until you can find s/t that works, I guess.
