Slice Seed or Over seed after Dethatch?

on the nice full lawns that I dethatched a week ago in MA. which service should I do? over seed or slice? please advise any other steps ya feel I should take.

On the damaged lawns/thin lawns slice seeding would be better? to fill in bare spots? thanks for everything fellas!

On a fairly thick lawn I would say that slice seeding would be the route I would go. On a really thin lawn I would hydroseed.

I wouldn't do either this time of year, I would put down fert & preventive now, run a full 4 step fert program for this season, aerate in sept. and slit seed and starter fert it then you still have time to get a winter fert down before the snow flys.
unless you like crab grass.
