If you don't put proper drainage behind even a small wall like this. They put plastic over it before I could get a pic..but you can immagine under the plastic is a muddy mess. The blocks in the second pic are the ones that fell down and have been set aside for rebuilding it I guess.

thats a jobsite sign, not a for sale sign. I think I would have ripped my sign down at that point.

Curious as to why you believe it was caused by lack of drainage.

Well because of all the heavy rain we have had..and the weeping happining towards the back part of the wall..see them..& cuz what else could have caused it..they just built it!

That "door to nowhere" looks pretty funny up there. I assume there was steps before:rolleyes: . Is that a downpipe on the corner of the house?.

Uneven compactio nmaybe - remember that wet soil weighs 2x dry soil

No no stairs or front porch built yet and no raingutters on yet..The place is for sale and the buyers have to have the gutters installed so..no that is not a downspout there on the back corner.

Notice the utility pedestals on that corner? That area has been recently excavated and was probably not compacted properly either.

Bad drainage + poor compaction = What you see.

I don't see how there could be enough room for geogrid. The house is real close to wall.

Exactly..it should have been a Mass wall not SRW.
