OK. Just got my set last night. Haven't got them on yet. Looks like a great product...but I gotta ask? Why black? ;)
Why not Hustler yellow so they match?
Keep up the inovative thinking Hustler....

Black is a more universal color, also we will be offering these for other brands of mowers in the future, and wanted to make it simple, one color for all of them.
Pj
Another reason for the black is that because of the rubber shock absorbing material the flex forks have to be painted with a low temperature powder coat. Hustler yellow is not available in low temperature at this time.

The black forks, black rubber discharge chute, and black saddle gas tanks all look great together.
The black front forks complete the great cosmetic look of Fast Super Z.

Universal?
Everything you make is yellow!! Hahahaa...that's not real universal.
Too funny.

Eventually...
Our plans are to offer them for most major / common mowers on the market.

"Hustler yellow is not available in low temperature at this time."
AHhh...paint can be matched at any paint shop around. PPG sells gallons of the stuff everyday.

We are talking powder coat finish here, not spray.

I understand that it's powder coated, but it could have been painted with a PPG to match was my point. Hustler hasn't been powder coating so long they forgot how to paint. Come on...
Actually, truth is it could be powder coated as well. You can get custom colors all over the place.

We only use powder coat now, nothing else, it is the most durable finish on the market.

I read that the first time PJ. I got it...
There's low-cure and UV powder coatings for use on aluminum, MDF (medium density fiberboard) and other heat sensitive substrates available in very short lead times from a number of places. Google it already....
Bottom line is Hustler did it in black and it doesn't match the rest of the line up. So be it. I'll live with it. Can't beat a guy for asking the question why black though. No low temp powder coatings that match Hustler yellow is just an excuse is all I'm saying. Should have just said the presidents wife thought it should be black. I'd have bought that more then we can't match the color....

Black will match my mower just fine
I'm interested in seeing about getting a set of them.
I don't need them for the flex, as I can unlock my axle for that...
I want to try a set to confirm my thoughts about caster fork rake.
My Lesco does not have much fork rake (closer to straight up and down).
The flex forks look to have a lot and the clearance is there for the tire to clear the deck I think.
How much is a set of these forks and what info do I need to supply for fitment?

The MSRP is $199.00 plus shipping.
We are only offering them for the Hustler mowers now, in the future we will have them for common models of other brands in the marketplace.

And they work. This is going to be a hot item and the black will match the Qwikchute quite nicely.

Why so hung up on the color? Who cares if it's black or yellow? I personally only care that they work well. I use my mower to cut my lawn, not as a status symbol. Yellow, black purple..doesn't matter. Then next thing someone will complain about is why Hustler doesn't offer chromed rims!
Thanks for developing a product that will save extra wear and tear on me and my mower.

gps_jetskier They do match the engine, steering levers, tires, fuel tanks and skid material on the deck platform what more could a person want
in color coordination.

I bet the flex forks will fit Toro/Exmark next as an accessory.
It only makes sense because exmark is the number 1 selling mower in the u.s.
(at least my dealer tells me that, commercial lawn) why wouldnt hustler make them fit whats out there the most.
