View Full Version : Finishing up a BIIIIIG Bid (for me)

Hey guys, I'm finishing up a large bid tonight for a company. Involves planting ~220 shrubs/plants and trees, plus 460+ ornamental grasses and a touch over 3100 periwinkle sprigs. I've got the plant/materials down, but I'm not sure about my labor. I know what to bid per hour, but I'm not sure the capabilities of my installation rates. This will be a crew of 5, using a 7K lb mini ex, skid steer with forks/auger. I have to amend all soils for the planting too, 45 yd's worth. Does 300 hours sound about right?

Does anyone know an approximate cost on 10' cedar stakes? I've been waiting on a reply from a company out of NJ, but still have nothing from them. I need ~300 of them

congrats BSD !
not sure about the stakes, but
300 hours with medium caliper plantstock - with normal rainfall, for good soil permeability.

so 300 hours sounds right?

300 hours should be more than enough

better safe than sorry. This is phase 1 of the bid, phase 2 & 3 are each about 25%- larger. I'm submitting the bid tomorrow.
