Give us more than 4 hours to respond...some of us actually mow lawns and do landscaping for a living...

I used a Stihl stick edger and loved it. I edged my lawns every week. 60 feet of sidewalk and a 2 car driveway would take less than 2 minutes.

We have always used PowerTrim and/or McLane. Both are fine w/b edgers. Prefer the PowerTrim w/honda engine. W/b edgers are becoming dino's around here, since we have found the Edgit.

Saying you want an edger is like saying you want a truck..What type of edging are you doing? That will determine what kind of edger you should look at. Are you edging back grass, dirt, beds, trees ballfields? All kinds of edgers out there for everything.

If your talking side walk edgers.
We don't use walk-behind edgers much, but we still have a few of what I consider the best walk-behind edger of all time--John Deere E-35 no longer in production. They are over 10 years old, 3.1 horse kawi engine. These machines had a unique way of edging curbs, one of the back wheels was adjustable on the curb sides. To bad Deere shut down production of E-35.
