5x14 trailer question

i have been looking for a decent trailer to haul my walk behind mower on. Well today i came across a 5x14 single axle mesh floor with a gate. Now what i am trying to figure out is empty weight, any ideas how much weight difference there is between a 5x14 mesh floor gate and a 5x10 wood floor and gate? same axle, tongue, and such? I am trying to decide whether to buy the 14 foot or spend a little more and get the 10 flooter? The 14 is slightly new and 600 bucks, the 10 footer is new and 750 bucks with a 100 trade in on my old trailer, so 650.. So any thoughts on which to go with??

If you go bigger than a 5X10 get a tandem axle. I would look at a 6X12 or larger in a tandem axle.

i would say get the 5x10 or spend more money and find a nice used 6'5x12 plus with the 5x10 i think u might be able to sell to a homeowner when u get even bigger and want to get a 7x16 or something....
