Stumps...

Is there any easy way of gettin rid of old tree stumps with out the use of a grinder? I've seen people burning them, but that never seems to do anything... Any help...

They used to sell something called "Stump-out" which was basically a bottle of black powder. It burns very hot, very fast and would just burn them down. It also makes a pretty good bomb if you pack it tight, so they took it off of the market (wussies). I saw some stuff in Gemplars catalog (I think) that said it would eat them up, but have never used it. Rent a stump grinder. They're fun to watch. A bear to operate, but fun to watch.

Dont burn them.All that does is make them hard(petriefied) and then they take forever to get rid of.Ive heard that drilling a hole in the middle and pouring buttermilk makes them rot faster but Ive never tried it.
