im just getting ready to start in lawn maintinence. i was talking to a guy who takes care of the property next to mine. he said that around here you can only mulch a couple of times a year. i live in brookings oregon which is on the southern oregon coast. if the lawn is maintained frequently is there a problem mulching all the time. or is it to damp here. whats up. is there anyone on this site thats not from the east coast. thanks

no snow, lots of rain in the winter though. very mild summers, sunny with a feww weeks of fog. do you think its ok to mulch for the main growing season?

I was told not to mulch around fully grown trees because it will lead to mold and disease around the trunk of the tree over time... Anyone know if thats true ?
