How many of you licensed applicators actually use backpacks to apply your pre emergents and fertilizers, so forth?

I use them but just for spot treating broad leaf weeds, spraying round up, insecticides and fungicides

Depends , if I'm out to do premergent treatments , I take my 100 gal with power sprayer .
If it's a small job , like 2-3 thousand sq ft , and I don't have my rig , I use my BP .
I have desinged an Ele Back Back that I use daily .
Wanta see it ?

Solo 425s for small jobs and cutting in on bigger jobs.

I would not do pre emergants or fertilizers on turf with a back pack. Can't ensure the flow rate will be that precise. The only time I ever used a bp for pre emergants was for a bed spray (works great, do it all the time) or for spot spraying "hot spots" for crabgrass (curb strips, etc.)

Ditto I use my spacesaver or my 6gal electrics for anything more than spot treatment

I had no more velcro so I had to use bailing wire on the battery .
Works perfect
