What use for a lawn roller?

In a package deal from a customer I got a steel lawn roller. I've never used one before. 99% of my work is just lawn mowing. If I keep it what uses are there for it. If I sell it, how much should I get for it?

if enough pressure is used the a roller can bring moisture to the top of the land .also if you ever instal sod it is usefull .

rolling down mole hills in the spring. rollers arent't healthy for the yard due to compaction.

Their good for running over a lawn that has tire ruts and things like that. Also it's good to compact the lawn and then aerate it. I believe thats what I read in Turf.
