Can someone provide me with the governor setting on my 17 hp Kawasaki FH500V. I replaced the worn governor shaft, sleeve and seal which were leaking oil. I prick punched the arm and old shaft for reference, but when trying to align the new shaft with the arm, the governor would not operate properly. My dealer said he had no info on this engine(?????) and when I called Kawaski they said they never give that information out to owers. I believe the previous owners made some adjustments on this engine from the look of the internal wear on the governor parts or it was never proper aligned. Engine has 800 hrs.Thanks.
