2-cycle Prob

I've got a 2-cycle Toro that's been a great mower. Yesterday I went to start it and my arm abour got yanked off. The pull-cord would barely pull. I pulled the plug and the cord pulled fine. Put the plug back in and the same problem as before; no pull. The plug is new this season and machine has been running great with it. Any suggections for a not so great engine technician? Thank in advance

Sounds like fuel in the cylinder.
Fluids don't compress.

I would say to check for fuel in the cylinder if the carb is flooding that will happen, but the one thing you first said is that the mower yanked your arm maybe I am reading it wrong but 2cycle toros are prone to flywheel key shearing, if you have hit something hard with the blade then it is possible that the key is broken. Hope it helps:)

When you cranked it with the plug out did you get any fuel to blow out of the plug hole? If you got any at all, tip the mower down(raise the rear wheels) and crank it over several times as you may have excess fuel in the block as well as the cylinder. Liquid lock seems to be the most realistic although a sheared fly key is a possibility even though they will normally still crank with a sheared key.

I took the plug out for about 36 hours and tried again a couple of hours ago. It started fine and ran good. Hopefully it was just a freak thing.
