which is the best top handle chain saw. i have all redmax products for my string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer and they are great. I was wondering how there chainsaws are. I have 2 other chainsaws that are huskys, a 141 and 359, which are my dad's. I need a saw from climbing. I was wonder which one i should get. Thanks LawnInOrder

Funny you should post about top handle chainsaws. I just used the Echo last week. I'm gonna buy one I liked it so much. I think it was the smaller cc model but, it was a real champ.

I have had bad experiences with echo equipment, that is why i switched to redmax. I love my huksy but since the redmax equipment is good i was considering trying one of those saws. LawnInOrder

I have used all, redmax is ok, echo has no power, stihl or husky is the way to go. If I had to buy I would take the 334 husy, it is fairly cheap and is a great saw.

Stihl ms200T or Husky 338xpc. The Echo is a good saw, but underpowered. Stay away from the Redmax climbing saw.

The Echo is NOT under powered. The CS330-T is around $249 and is an excellent saw.

If you go to http://www.baileys-online.com/index.htm you can get the husky 338xpc for $399 or the Echo cs-330T for $250 or the cs-360T for $299. The Stihl MS200T is the best climbing saw made, however they go for about $500.
Later Andy.

If you get the Husky do not get the California edition. It may have more cc but is not as good.

The stihl is deff out. I was looking for a cheap saw like around $200. So i will porb go with an echo or a redmax eneven though no one recommends them. there equipment is great so far. The husky and sthil are just too much money. I am going to use this once and awhile and i am only 16. My dad has a 141 and a 359 husky so i just need a trim saw. What blade size should i go with regardless of the trim saw i buy. thanks LawnInOrder

14" bar and chain. The 338xpc California model is an update to the old and troublesome 335. The 338 is a much better saw than the old 335.
LawnInOrder the top handle arborist saws are made to be used up in a tree, not on the ground and they can be very dangerous if used improperly. So be careful.:)
