Around here there was less traffic in the morning but everyone was working.
I didn't see anyone not working.
Not many people at 7- Eleven

This A.M. on a local talk-radio program an LCO called in to say that his employees were (or FELT) threatened that if they worked instead of rallying today, trucks would be vandalized, equipment smashed and bodily harm done, seems the owner sent them out in the field anyhow...propably much ado about nothing.

All of my employees (Hispanic or not) are free to strike whenever they want to. However, they must do it on their own time after work. If they did it during work, they might discover that their position was not quite as indespensible as they thought.

I didnt notice anything different... not at all.

I hope this whole thing blows up in the illegals face... I didnt mind them before, but now I'm rather pi$$ed that they have the nerve to march around thinking that "we" owe their ILLEGAL arses anything whatsoever.
No one stole and chained them into a boat and made them stay.
They wanted to come here, they jumped the fence against our laws... and now they want amnesty... its ridiculous, absolutely mind-boggling.

They remind me of someone who sneaks into a movie theater, then complains about the movie being shown - then insists on a free pass for the next movie.

I dont feel sorry for them at all... and im SICK of hearing and reading spanish everywhere.

Now, before someone jumps on me... Keep in mind that my wife is from Brasil, she learned English, and is here on a student visa, and we are now jumping through the Citizen'ry hoops and DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY.

No change here, guess they had some rally in Seattle around PM rush hour, not gonna win much sympathy with that move, making traffic worse than it already is.

Everything seemed normal here. All of the fast food joints were open with happy, smiling Latinos working behind the counters.

we had a few kids out of school because of the immigration demonstrations.

And now they have to do twice the amount of work, and give a vaild reason why they were out. I'll keep the rest of my comment to myself

I had 3 guys no show 2 are belivable with the sick/broke car one is a bit shady....but his attendance has been great so calling in sock for one day is not a huge issue.
