Too late to aerate

I am located in Maryland and a customer told me he is interested in aerating but his chem apps guy said that if you aerate too late then you will get grubs. Is this true? When is too late to aerate. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ive never heard of it b4. Golf courses aerate regularly here evey 6-8 weeks thru the season and we stop about june 1st, and restart labor day, y umight want to check mich states or ohio states agro dept
