Not the best pic from a camara phone but a truck missed the drive in the winter and rutted up the turf. This is not a customer of mine but was called to quote the job. It took approx 1 hr from arriving to leaving and materials consister of 10 pds of seed and 4 bales of straw and approx 5 pds of starter fert. Simple job so what would you have charged? for 1 hr of your time to fix these ruts.

I don't know...did you???

Not sure.............. I got paid, but what would you have charged for an hr. work with only the materials I listed, NO top-soil. Same state so prices should be close.

I must be cheap. I'd probably charge about $200-$250 if wasn't too far from the house.

Maybe in NC but not the way we Ohio boys work.

$350.00 is what I would of charged and would of accomplished the job using the same procedures.

Job was 760 sq ft of turf repair. The trac was there becouse I was on my way home from another job and had all the materials I needed with me. It was 1 hrs gate to gate and I charged $1200 and left with a check.

Did I over charge ? No I charged more than what someone else would have done it for but name reconignition goes a long way.

If you charge cheap you percieved as cheap, including your work.

I doubt I would have charged $1200 based on the pics but in person I might have a different attitude...Based just on the pics I would have probably charged around $750 using the tools/material you described...

Not overcharged in my opinion. I would have said about $900 - $1,000 but my market tends to be cheaper than most. Name recognition, job done when the customer requested, you received the check, so in direct answer to the question at hand..........your customer didn't think so!
