How much would you charge to plant trees for someone - price per tree, please. The trees to be planted are about 5-6' tall, 15 gallon containers.

Thats not too bad if you can plant them easy. But you have to remember E & M the time taken to order pick up and deliver also, plus the price of peat and or compost you use, how many you plant etc. Add it all in should take 2 hours or so for 6, hopefully you dont have to dig thru clay.

I'm planting 37 trees - netting 20% from the tree prices and was planning on about $35-$40 per tree for planting.

Well that's about right.I just am way cheap on my tree planting...I also make 20% on the price of the tree but I am way too low on my planting prices on them,I just love planting so much I would prolly pay YOu to let me plant your tree's!I gotta raise my prices I know!

Sounds like a deal to me; pay me $10 per tree and you can come on down and plant these trees for my customer (that way I can make an extra $10 per tree - $370 - and not have to do any work...). Let me go check my legal books and see if I can figure out a way to have this considered as a binding contract between us.

She stay away from my neck of the woods...

We routinely charge $100.00 / tree for planting.

Think about this, a 2 1/2 inch flowering crab here (wildfire) tree form my cost is $110.00 The local retail nurseries don't even carry trees this size, but if they did "special order one for you" it would cost in the neighborhood of $190 - $210 + delivery and install.

We charge 2x's the tree cost. Hand picked, delivered and installed, care instruction packet, watering guidelines, and warranty.

Whats funny is there is next to no physical labor in digging the hole we use a ditch witch with a 30" auger.

Yep. 1 1/2 x to 2 x the RETAIL cost of the tree for delivery and planting. That is why I've always said before...I can make ALOT more money with a $15 shovel than what I can with a $10,000 mower.
