How much to charge?
By the acre or by the hour?
I have a 25hp Tractor and a 5' hog.
Sorry for such a lammo question...this is my first time brush hoggin.

Down here in Tennessee it is known as "Bush Hawg".
Charge them by the hour - whatever your hourly charge is.:usflag:

In my area I was getting $75 per hour. You will need to fine out what your area will support price wise.

I charge $75/hr with a $200 minimum.

Ok thanks for the replies.....So obviosly it will take longer to cut 4 acres then with a zturn cause the tractor goes so slow and its gonna be bumpy right?

Depends on what you're cuttin'. If it's an overgrown field, I wouldn't even want to put my ztr out there. If it's turfgrass, why the bush hog?

By the way, I almost bought the CK30 but went with New Holland instead. Nice little tractor you have there.:)

around here idiots do it for 40 an acer not worth it to me hell it is so cheep i pay them to mow 20 acers I have. Just so I don't have to sit on the tractor and tare up my own equipment

shame your not around here , I'd take the $40 per acre.

i am not going to do any trimming around the farm until I get a 3 point flail mower that ranges in degrees 60 to -30 then you can mow ditches banks and brush lines.

Just got back....All went well....It took me around 3 hours to do 5 acres. Pretty level terrain just lots of summacks.
