No, I believe you read it right the first time @ $60 per hour. $15 per man hour. At least thats the way I interpreted it. I think he was being sarcastic :)

The way I read it is a 4-man crew, 20 minutes time on a yard, and the income is $20.00.

Now keeping busy (like 3-houses in a row) would be $60.00 for an hours work.

If one is the LCO and the other 3 are helpers this should shed a different light on who gets what.

Let's say the helpers get $8.00 an hour each. That leaves
$36.00 for the LCO and we all know what is going to have to come out of the LCO's $36.00 share.

Even worse if all 4 are helpers and are paid only $8.00 and hour that would only leave $28.00 for the LCO to pay expenses and his share of the employee's FICA.

Who thinks somebody is getting richer/poorer in this example ?

If for no other reason, spending $10-12K on a grasshopper you will never get your money back at $20 a cut.

yes i was being sarcastic.

sad thing is, a 2 man crew can do same yard in same time or less. they should split off and run 2 crews.

i guess they cant afford any more equipment, though, for some reason.

They won't be around for long at those rates. A new company with employees, they will likely be gone before end of summer.

I kept wondering who has been taking care of all those low-ballers that don't call me no more. It is kinda funny when you think about it.

A 2 man crew? I can do a $20 yard by myself in 20 minutes...
