B&s 6.5 Primer Bulb..bad??

Hi folks, I am trying to help out my neighbor with his sears pushmower.
Sorry but I don't have much more info than it is a newer model,bought last year. It will only run if you put your finger over the vent? hole on the red primer bulb. Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW my expertise is Mercedes repair if any one needs any help in that area. Thanks again:usflag:

Read the top thread in this forum, Without numbers I can only guess the carb. needs to be taken apart cleaned with carb.&choke spray cleaner.

Yeah I did read it, as I said it was my neighbors and I do not have the info at hand here at work. I am a big contributor on a couple of Mercedes forums and know the importance of having as much info as possible.That being said I was just hoping that the knowledge base here could give a pointer or 2 based on the scant info I did have. Ya' know, like if it is a common problem with the vented type primer bulbs on the B & S engines. I will try to get more info later. Thanks anyhow.
