I know it would cost me about $135. But, I know your BG, so I would say it cost you $50.

I cut about 85 lawns a week and it takes me about $83 for truck, $43 for everything else, so I guess that is $126 a week.

wow, thats a lot, but have never added up all my expenses. on the largest property(about 5 acres of turf, or a legal farm) it takes about two gallons. on the smallest lawns i could do 50 on a tank.

93 lawns? what size lawns and what size crew?

exactly, this is the information we need to know, the cost is very different to mow a 200,000 square foot lawn than a 20,000 square foot one.

but all of BG's lawns are under 15,000 square feet, according to one of his posts.

bobbygedd
05-06-2006, 06:13 AM
all lawns are under 4,000 sq ft, with the exception of two of them. one is 15,000. the other is 9,000. how big is my crew? we average about 4'11" - 5'6"

You never give us enough info. I only have 16 accounts and I use almost 200 in gas per week.

The other info
All of my accounts are commercial properties (apartments)
I have 4 employees
They work for about 35 hours a week.
One of these properties takes 7 hours to mow with two 52in mowers running.

My point is we need more info if you want us to play the "guessing game"

If you had all the info it wouldnt be a guessing game it would be a math problem. What fun would that be?

If your like me, it would of cost you $3.

I just have the mexican's pull the trailer, they use rotary push mowers, brooms, and electric trimmers. The $3 was for the one gallon of diesel to go to the bewbie bar afterward.

not just his truck, but his mowers too. so thats 2.4 gallons a day(5 day schedule) which equals about 2 hours of mower run time, (please bob, no BS on how your mowers get 183.746 hrs./gallon) and 1 hr. of trimmer time, and about 2 miles of drive time each way.

i'tt believe it when i can follow you around and watch.

and he said that he filled everything up and then filled it again. does your truck have a lawn mower sized fuel tank?

No Kidd'n!! My truck cost around $75 to fill up each time, and I usually do that at least twice if not three times a week!

Post something of the truth or with substance and it gets 4 replies...post some nonsense like this and get 50...things like "how many of you yahoos hire women?" or "lost account because of jealous husband." Unreal.

bob--it isn't the amount of your fuel bill that is amazing here...but rather it is the amount of money that you are willing to work for.

you have posted many times of your pricing by the season and it likely comes down to about $18 per cut.

that 93 cut/week schedule nets you about $1674/week....

and bob...for two people mowing, that aint alot of money to brag about.
