Hello Everyone
New member, first post.
I have been interested in power equipment since way back in the early 70's my grandfather bought my dad a 3.5 hp Sunbeam lawn mower. This was not an electric rather a B&S built like a Panzer tank. Heavy cast deck (Orange).
He still uses it today.
I beleive, in my opinion, the only real players in this industry are Echo, Shindaiwa, Redmax and Stihl. With Husky and Tanaka falling somewhere in between.
I currently have 5 blowers (handheld) and appreciate the variations in all of them. Enivornmentally speaking they have come a long way. 2 cycle stuff is very clean.
Any one who thinks the likes of Poulan, weedeater, homelite, etc. are in the same leauge are very misguided. This is junk. spewing toxic messes and operating like grap. You get what you pay for.
Honda stuff, which I own a UMK431 Trimmer is built like a hummer but heavy.
Looking forward to replies.
Take Care
