edgers

how many of you use edgers(no weed-eaters)to edge your residential clients yards...and do you make this an extra cost,or does it come with the lawnmowing job?Also,do you use gas edgers or the old fashioned metal pusher ones(if you know what I'm talking about)?

Around here all lawn services use edgers every week on all lawns. If you didnt the grass would eventually cover the whole sidewalk. I use a stihl stick edger. I include it in my monthly price, and it gives the lawn a finished look.

our augustine grass grows with "runners" which spread outward .....over bed edging ...sidewalks etc. ....so we have to use em ....weekly .....which is part of the basic service
