Craftsman GTV 18 Transaxle

The model number is 917.253730 . My question is the owners manual says to use S.A.E 30 Motor Oil to top up the transaxle oil level , is it understood to use non detergent oil ? Thank you , Scott

The part number of the transaxle is 633A110 . I've put three quarts of oil in and the level is not up to the plug threads yet . Can you tell me how much oil this transaxle holds ?

I don't see how to edit a post . I found the capacity in the owners manual under 'EVERY 500 HOURS' . It holds five quarts .
