indeed it would. as a trucker, i see stuff like this all the time, although not usually fatal. if theres a difficult left turn, i just turn right and do whatever to get turned around. several years ago, i had a guy turn left in front of me in my pickup, i t-boned him at 40 mph...i barely hit the brakes. i remember seeing his face as i hit the car. he wasn't killed....but i wanted to strangle him. he had no insurance, no license, and was drunk. broke my arm, and missed 6 weeks of work.
