Has anybody tried removing the discharge chute baffle from a tthp in wet lush conditions? I think it works pretty well with solid foil blades.

Never got an answer for this?
I was wondering the same thing the other day. On the machines that I install a mulch kit on for the fall, I do not reinstall the discharge baffle for the summer.
I do not think I notice that much of a difference, but maybe I am not paying close enough attention?
The dealer installed my mulch kit and forgot to give me the baffle so I had to cut w/o it in place for a day until I could get over there and pick it up. I was using notched high lifts and what I noticed was less discharge force and more of a scattering of the clippings instead of a more focused and more forcefull discharge with it in. In any either case the difference wasn't huge.
