Had to replace 150 dead shrubs on a project completed early this spring - the Wholesaler claimed responsibility and replaced the stock.
What happened was in November last year we had that early frost (5b)
and he figures the roots frose on all the freshly potted stock - they looked good in the polyhouse - but no foliage after 2 weeks being in the ground.
Also I lost about 30 hick's yews - it appears if the plants were not watered early April they would quickly dry out turn bronze then die
Just thought I would let people know that in 22 years of business this is the highest replacements I have had - so beware
