Centipede hieght?

I've read in a a bunch of books and other placesthat centipede grass should be cut at 1.5"-2" inches, but I find it looks best at 3"-3.5" inhes....I haven't ever tried any lower than 2.5" beacause it looks it would really scalp it if I did. F.Y.I.: I use a Lazer Z HP w/o doubles.....yet. So what's up with this? Show me the light!!!

2.5 to 3 if it will grow that tall. You willl scalp it and it doesn't revover that well.

Always follow the 1/3 rule anyway. Some centipede won't get that tall, if it was sodded it will real easy, seed: you'll be lucky to get it to 2".

Well, I've noticed my poorer quality lawns look best around 3" an my higher quality lawns look best around 3.5".
