tree fertilizer

I just planted 50 Leyland Cypress trees around the perimeter of my back yard about 8 weeks ago. So far i've been watering them twice a week and they've done just fine. Plus it rained quite a bit after i planted them and they seem to have gotten established fairly well. None have died as of yet, i've got my fingers crossed! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a type of fertilizer i can use on them. 10-10-10? any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..........

A 10-10-10 would be ok, as would Miracid. I like Holly Tone, Lesco 14-14-14, or Roots. The Roots is nice because it provides beneficial fungi to the mix.

One other thing: DON'T buy cheap fertilizer. You get what you pay for.

I like the Roots for new installs. For long term maintenance, I prefer Arbor Green.
