OK Fellows need some help!! My mower is like sputtering, I changed fuel filter, spark plugs. Any suggestions on what you guys think. I'm not that mechanically inclined so I'm trying all my options before I bring her in!

Remove the air cleaner and inspect the choke plate. Make sure it is fully opening when you have the choke lever in the off position.

Well you didn't say what brand engine this is but if it's puffing black smoke check the choke for full opening if so it probably has trash on the float needle valve and has it flooding, So carb. needs to be cleaned out with carb.& choke cleaner. If no black smoke try applying choke slowly and see if it smooths out, If so needs carb. cleaned again concentrating on the main jet area. If applying choke doesn't help check for continued spark, Could be a coil breaking down. These test will tell you which direction to go for a repair and can be performed in less time it took me to type this post.

Thanks for the info Guys!! OK Checked all of the above came to see on the accelerator pump the diaphragm has a hole in it could this be the problem hadn't had a chance to change waiting for part.
