View Full Version : Does anyone have phots of "C" cut steps?

I am looking for some construction photos of inside "C" cut steps. Not pedestal steps. I am working on an estimate where there is a set of steps cutting into a hill and the run is 18" and the rise is 6". I have never built steps like this so I am hoping for some visual help so I can estimate them better.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here are a before, during and the
after. Behind the steps we laid pavers, and the boulders went up to the ends of the steps. Hope this helps.

That sure looks like beautiful work!

Guestion for you .............. Although I have traveled through all of the western states, I have never lived out there. Being from the east where everything is always green, green, green I have always wondered how you folks keep all that sand out of your homes. Do you have to vacuum every day?

Sorry for going off topic.

Dirt really isnt that bad here most of the time. As long as you have your yard scaped, you are ok. There is lots of dust in the air. Check out our little storm from last night. These are all of the general Phoenix and surrounding area. Stands at 3000' tall. So today, dust/sand is a problem.

Oddly enough, this anomoly is called a Haboob. Maybe named after someone who discovered these in India.

Do you get these "Haboobs" often? You must be having to change filters on everything constantly.

Thank I'll just stay in all this lush greenery.

Haboobs arent too common, just during the "monsoon" season. We are having afternoon storms this week, though they are very uncommon this time of the year. Early August we start the "Monsoon" and we can have these every day for about 6 weeks. We see some decent rain on occasion as well during these storms, though it has been dry so far this year, think we are at about 2 inches or so total for the year to date. Sorry to take off on this in the wrong forum.
