Removing discharge baffle for mulching?

I've been mulching with my Hustler mulch kit and it is leaving a strip of grass along the right side where my chute is. It is caused by my discharge baffle. I I was wondering what to do about this. The left side mulches great but the right side is leaving clippings. What to do? can I remove the baffle, and if so will it affect my side discharge?

What mower and size deck are we talking about here?
Is this a Hustler mulch kit and are you using our mulch blades?
How much grass are you taking off in a single pass? is it wet?
