Advice with JRCO tine dethatcher?

Can anyone tell me when is the best time to use a JRCO tine rake dethatcher? How many times do you go over the lawn with it? How much more do you charge than a cut? Should I dethatch before I fert. and seed or after? Any advice is greatly apprectiated. I just bought the thing and am looking for veteran advice. Thanks, Andrew

adonovan, the best time to use it is in the spring for clean ups, we go one way with it then go back across it the opposite way, and you should detatch before you fertilize as price per cut i would shoot for 3X what you would charge for a cut Tom
