I am looking to get some quality shrub shears for informal and very selective pruning...
Which ones are the best?
The Stihls?
Coronas?

I am assuming you mean hand pruners (selective/informal pruning). Get a pair of Felco's.

Gotcha - I just don't equate shears with being selective or informal!
I have used the P-51/P-51H Sandvik Pradines/Bahco for years. Tough, durable, well made hedge shears.
