How do you know how far to put these plants apart if your making a hedge say a 18-24 " boxwood hedge say you want a hedge thats 43' long.?

Depends on the variety. An upright at 18-24" tall should almost be touching maybe 6" apart. A spreading yew can be a little farther apart maybe a foot or more. Also depends on the target height of the hedge. If it's going to be 2' high, plant them right next to each other.:waving:

For the boxwoods, I'd say 18" on center.
