We are looking for ideas in design. Customer is looking for something to cover up the fence in her backyard, most likely looking at bushes 4 ft or above and maybe some smaller plants mixed in. Its about a 35 ft. strip and they just want to dress up. Any ideas would be great

What's the fence made of? If it's chainlink, I'd plant a woody vine: the fancy, multicolored honeysuckles look fine in a chainlink fence and in winter, the woody stems in the chainlink look really interesting. Or trumpet vine; either orange or yellow. Or hydrangea anomola petiolaris (climbing hydrangea).

Shrubs?? Winterberry, physocarpus 'Diabolo', hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva'.

So very many to choose from.
