Because Mike's been complaining:rolleyes: I thought I'd post a few pics of a typical commercial job for us. The site is for a wholesale plumber and irragation supplies yard with wharehouse. Basically its on the side of a hill which was actually a beach about 16 million years ago. Its all soft sand thats a PITA to compact and run wheeled machines on.

These first pics of are of us cleaning up before we start digging out. We wanted the site fairly clean because we had plans for the overburden. We only quoted to dig out and build the wall, the other earthworks are a separate job.

Sorry to jump your post, didnt know I was replying 10 seconds after your post. Looks great there, what a project. Out of curiosity, what does that job cost, how many days work, cost of materials?

There was four days of preparation and digging out including some rubbish away. The wall actually took 10 days with a 5 man crew to build plus another day backfilling and cleaning up. Cost of materials is about $18K Aud.
