Scags and belts breaking

Reading in another forum the Scag 48" cut ZTR's (tiger cub's) are having problems with the belts breaking. Any repair tec's have a comment on this? Getting ready to by a ZTR and found a deal on a new 48" tiger cub with 19 hp Kaw but wonder if this is why 05"s are still available from Scag.

Also herd that a service bulletin was out from Scag on this issue. Know what is says?

yes they have had some deck belt issues last year on there ztrs. at service school they had some bulletins coming out that involve going from a 1 belt system to a 2 belt system and changing some idlers/arms around. most of those 04-05 units should have had to updates done to them prior to being sold, or updated if theywere out in the field already.
